Decision Assist and Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) have a brand new integrated online learning space with up-to-date resources and training tools to support best practice in advance care planning.

Three new learning modules are now live on the site, covering:

  • the key components of advance care planning and its benefits
  • communication strategies to start conversations about advance care planning
  • legal aspects for different states and territories.

The new learning modules replace Decision Assist modules on the CareSearch learning management system. If you’ve already completed Decision Assist modules on CareSearch, we recommend that you look at the new learning modules as they are up-to-date and based on current best practice in advance care planning.

We’ll be releasing more new learning modules as well as webinars for advance care planning throughout the year, so subscribe to our newsletter for updates on this and other news. The Decision Assist courses hosted on CareSearch will close permanently on Sunday 21 May 2017.

If you would like to complete courses that you have already started or download certificates and other information from the CareSearch site, please do this before 21 May.

To access the new learning modules, you will need to set up a new registration on the Advance Care Planning Learning website.

More information about the closure and transition of the aged care learning online modules can be found in the Advance Care Planning Learning FAQs factsheet.
