Practical workshops for health professionals 

Enhance your advance care planning knowledge and increase your confidence in having these important conversations. 

This one-day workshop is regularly presented at Austin Health in Heidelberg by Austin Health's Senior Advance Care Planning Clinician.

Topics include:

  • Benefits of advance care planning 
  • Medical decision-making 
  • The role of the substitute decision-maker 
  • Legal implications of advance care planning 
  • Advance care planning conversations 
  • Life-prolonging treatments 
  • Organisation implementation

Who should attend:

Health professionals including doctors, nurses, social workers, allied health staff and care workers. This training is relevant to those working in acute health services, aged care, primary care, and palliative care. 

Prerequisite:

Completion of modules one, two, and three of Advance Care Planning Learning online.

Complete the ACP Workshop registration and payment form and email it to acpa@austin.org.au or fax it to (03) 9496 5660. The one day workshop is $300 (inc GST), and includes morning tea, lunch and workshop materials.
